Sorbus hupehensis (Hubei Rowan/Hupeh Rowan)
A good rowan tree, tall and strong with generally uplifted branches. The leaves are delicate, bluish green through the summer and then take on brilliant autumn hues. The tree has white flowers in spring and unusual autumn fruits that hang in large clusters. These are white, tipped with pink and last well into winter. This becomes quite a substantial tree and is not suited to very small gardens as it needs space.
Height & Spread 8m (26ft), 10-20 years to maturity.
