A short-lived, clump-forming, herbaceous perennial with divided, mid-green leaves. Pendant flowers with red, mid-length spurs and outer petals, and white inner petals, appear on slender, upright stems in spring and early summer.
Height 1m (3ft), Spread 50cm (1.5ft), 2-5 years to maturity.
