A tender, trailing annual grown as a vegetable crop with broadly ovate to kidney-shaped, velvety, mid-green leaves and yellow-orange flowers in summer followed by elongated, pear-shaped, edible, pale brown fruit with yellow-orange flesh, ready for harvest from late summer into autumn.
