A leafy, dark green vegetable, related to the beet, with thick, crisp white or red stems and ribs. This variety forms bright stems of purple, pink and orange and young leaves can be picked early for salads.
Height 50cm (1.5ft), Spread 30cm (1ft), 1-2 years to maturity.
