A low, spreading evergreen or climber with small, glossy, leathery leaves and large, bright orange-scarlet tubular flowers borne singly in the leaf-axils from late spring through summer. A charming plant for a partially shaded, sheltered position. Unsuitable for shallow chalk soils. Best in peaty, acidic soil. Plant in full sun or partial shade. Half hardy. Native to Chile.
Height & Spread 2m (6ft), 5-10 years to maturity.
