This evergreen, compact, low-growing shrub has an upright habit with dark green, glossy leaves. Something quite unusual compared to the regular blue Ceanothus. Beginning in mid-spring it bears scented white flower panicles. Plant in a sheltered spot. Excellent for a shrub border or against a sunny wall. Ideally suited for coastal situations, it does well on heavy soils.
